<p><b>1. Use a light box.</b> The amount of light that indoor lighting provides is dismal. Thus, your body&#8217;s internal clock may think it&#8217;s in complete darkness all day. This will prevent it from a establishing a regular and replenishing sleep schedule. The solution is to use a light box.</p>
<p><b>2. Increase the heat.</b> Of your body of course! The higher your core temperature gets during the day, the deeper you&#8217;ll sleep at night. <p><b>4. Shut down the thought factory.</b> You need to do this at least one hour before bed. You can&#8217;t expect to just transition into a sleeping state within minutes. You need an off ramp period. Fiction and fantasy movies that do not arouse emotion can help here.</p>

<p>So here are 5 ways to take your workouts to the next level with your emotions:</p>
<p>1. Use classical conditioning: The easiest way to do this is to exercise at the same time every day and to have some type of pre workout ritual. By doing this, your mind will associate your &#8220;exercise time&#8221; with very specific psychological cues. This in turn will prime your mind for emotional agitation before exercise.</p>
<p>2. Have some caffeine: A little caffeine can go a long ways here. It gets your adrenal glands to secrete stress hormones which can help facilitate maximum power output. Just make sure you aren&#8217;t desensitized to caffeine or this won&#8217;t work very well.</p>
<p>3. Mentally agitate yourself: Now humans are very complex, you are very complex. So experiment with different methods here. Some people have success with meditation, others like to watch a motivational clip and others like to listen music. Pick the method that works best for you and use it right before exercise.</p>
<p>4. Get the blood flowing: Increasing blood flow makes all the above processes work that much better. You see, it&#8217;s not just about getting the stress hormones into your system, it&#8217;s also about getting them transported to where they need to go. So warm up or take a hot shower before exercising.</p>
<p>5. Get sleep: Deep sleep is when your body replenishes its supply of chemicals that get used up when you are amplifying your emotions. So if you aren&#8217;t getting deep and long sleep, you will be running on a limited supply of neurotransmitters and adrenalin.</p>

Maybe you are one of these people.</p>
<p>So here is how early morning workouts can delay your progress:</p>
<p>1. Your lower back is at its weakest: You see, when you wake up in the morning, your lower back is loaded with nucleus pulposus, the fluid in your spine. Thus, you are less flexibile and are at more risk of injuring yourself. If you have current low back pain, early morning exercise is absolutely prohibited.</p>
<p>2. Your body is in a catabolic state: In other words, you are breaking down muscles and organs for fuel. If you do not break the fast with a very large meal, you will break down even further while exercising. So make sure you keep this in mind next time you exercise on an empty stomach.</p>
<p>3. You can ruin your hormonal levels for the entire day: Having breakfast is the best way to reverse the subpar hormonal profile your body has when you wake up. If you skip breakfast, or don&#8217;t have enough calories and start exercising, you can ruin your hormonal profile for the rest of the day no matter how well you eat.</p>
<p>4. The functioning of your joints is subpar: You see, when you wake, your joints aren&#8217;t fully lubricated. Just like the gears in your car need oil, your joints need certain biological lubricants to reduce wear and tear. If you start exercising immediately upon waking, you don&#8217;t give your joints enough time to get lubed up.</p>
<p>5. Your body temperature is not at its optimal level: This happens because your core temperature is at its lowest when you wake up. And increasing temperature is the best thing you can do to speed things up, from fat burning to strength output.</p>
<p>Doing some type of exercise in the morning is better than no exercise in the morning. Just make sure you take at least some precautions to avoid the above negatives. And take action on this information now, not later!</p>
